Check with poppy and lemon
The check with lemon and poppy is very aromatic and can be served in the morning for breakfast or as a simple snack between meals.
100 g old brown
120 g butter
160 g mac
100 g flour
Method of preparation
Mix the sugar and butter, in a large bowl, until it forms a cream. Add the yolks in a row.
In another bowl, mix the poppy with the flour and lemon peel.
In another bowl mix well the whites with a little salt. Stir them until you get a foam. In butter cream add one third of the poppy mixture and one third of the whites. Mix well, then proceed with the rest of the composition.
Then pour the dough into a tray lined with baking paper and bake in the hot oven for 30 minutes, at a temperature of 175 degrees.
Serve the check simple or powdered with sugar, to taste.
